I orignally purchased this bath toy for my granddaughter three years ago for her first birthday. She loved watching the pieces attach to each other in the water magnetically and the head was her favorite piece. The hard plastic construction adds to the durability and longevity of the toy. The toy has finally worn out and I have been asked to replace it for her younger sister who is turning one in a few days. Overall I think this is a very good toy as it has held up to daily use for 2-1/2 years.

James with baby Einstein Flashcards: 19 months
I know not everyone agrees with the use of flashcards to teach baby words, but I've found them incredibly useful and James often goes to them and asks me to get them down for him, so I think he likes using them, too. This is two of the Einstein sets, so he gets a little feisty part way through. (They're only supposed to be used one set at a time, but I had to capture this on video for the Grandmas who are nutty about seeing his every little talent.) :) Anyway, ENJOY!...

The tunnel is a bit pricey for what is essentially decorated nylon and mesh attached to plastic. But it is a great design for newborns, because they are on their backs, yet items on the ceiling and/or across the room are too far away to keep their attention. It is the only thing that could keep my twins' attention (first for a 1/2 hour, up to an hour now)-- with, thankfully, no effort on my part. Unlike a crib mobile, this can be easily moved to any room, and you can move the hanging toys around. I gave it only four stars, because it could be made in a way that would make it more useful as a newborn gets to 4-5 months. First, they need to either provide or sell more toys of increasing complexity (tactile, squeeky, etc.). Second, it would have been useful to have items that could velcro to the sides (inside the tunnel), to give the newborns different things to touch, especially once they are spending time on their stomachs. Those changes would make it more of a value, in light of the cost. Still, I am very happy that I purchased it.
