It's for a long time now parents are using baby strollers for its convenience and reliability. But how often do people choose new baby stroller thinking about its safety for babies? Sometimes baby strollers in case of poor construction may cause injuries to babies or even death. So let's see at things that you should hold in mind choosing baby stroller.
First of all take a look at the whole stroller view.
As Albert Einstein said ugly looking things cannot be right. He said that about formulas but it's applicable to anything else. Including strollers. Just imagine a stroller with all 18 wheels different diameter for example. Is it ugly? Sure! So do not buy ugly looking baby strollers.
After stroller appearance pay attention to frame proportions.
Stroller should not be too long and too narrow. Narrow strollers tend to leaning or even tipping over. And it results in injuries at 47.5% of cases. 38% of them end with head injuries and 7.5% are facial area traumas. So do not buy narrow baby strollers.
Then take care about seat belts.
Though baby stroller is not a car it has to be equipped with those useful things. Seat belts are a safety guarantee for your baby in case of troubles. And furthermore you will be sure your baby will not go to walk when you are looking around or talking to somebody. So buy baby strollers with seat belts.
Next thing you should look at is brakes.
There are two kinds of brakes systems installed on baby strollers. First system is brakes that will immediately stop baby stroller in case it loses contact with your hand. It's useful when you are walking down the hill with stroller and baby in it. You stumble, stroller is pulled from your hands and... And it stops one or two feet from you. That is baby stroller brakes are working. The second system is working opposite way. It stops stroller only if you pull the lever when you need it. It's very useful in times when you are jogging with a baby in the jogging stroller and have an urgent need to stop before obstacle or moving cars. So buy baby strollers with brakes of that system that will be of maximum use in your life. If you are just walking with your baby or sitting on benches in park it will be first case. If you are living your life fast and need moving then buy jogging strollers with brakes of second type described above.
One of the primary principles when choosing baby stroller is to select from well known brands.
They have an excellent experience in bay stroller construction. Every detail of their strollers is based on real life accidents and provide maximum safety. Most reliable brands like 'Maclaren' strollers, 'Peg Perego' baby strollers, 'Bob Jogging Strollers' and others are available at Baby Stroller Stuff online catalog. You can make a decision without leaving your home.
Last main thing is the weight of baby stroller.
Remember - the less it weights the easier it is to manage your baby stroller. Main weight of baby strollers is concentrated in its frame and wheels. There is a lot of baby strollers at the market with frames made of aluminium, titan or even carbon. So are wheels. The best choice is carbon. It's extremely strong and lightweight. But it's pretty expensive. It's your choice. So my advice is to buy a baby stroller with smallest weight.
Other things are less significant than those described above. You may choose stroller with or without umbrellas, with or without diaper bags and so on. Just remember. Good things have low price only if they are bad. Do not feel sorry for money you spent on baby stroller. It will be compensated with the health of your baby and safety of your nerves.
"I received this item as a gift and I love it! I was able to play music for my unborn baby and I could definitely feel him moving while it was playing. Now that he's out in the real world, I can play the same music to calm him down when he gets fussy. Every mom-to-be should have one!"
